(1) The diversified development of internal combustion forklifts is an inevitable path for the development of alternative fuels for forklifts in China. (2) The development process of various alternative fuels will show an overlapping and progressive trend. Active energy economic support policies and increasingly stringent environmental policies (especially greenhouse gas emission policies) will be key drivers of the development of alternative fuels for internal combustion forklifts; differences in maturity between technology and industrialization conditions, and the international crude oil market (and progressive integration) The supply and demand situation and price trend of the natural gas market will greatly affect the process of alternative fuels for vehicles. In the near future, low-carbon efficient alternative fuel technologies and industrialization conditions have matured, have obvious energy-saving and emission reduction effects, and are expected to take the lead in expanding market share, including liquefied gas forklifts, natural gas forklifts, dimethyl ether and methanol forklifts. In the medium and long term, with the recovery of international oil prices, the rapid advancement of alternative fuel technologies, the establishment of a domestic energy tax and greenhouse gas emission rights system, clean alternative fuels and new energy forklifts will enter a stage of rapid development. In the long-term, with the maturity of various clean alternative fuel technologies, the technical channels with the largest greenhouse gas emission reduction potential and high resource security will be more supported and developed faster. It is expected that mainly various types of gas forklifts ( Natural gas (LNG/CNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gas-electric hybrid vehicles, second-generation biofuel forklifts, dimethyl ether and methanol forklifts, and possibly hydrogen fuel forklifts all have the opportunity to take turns.
(3) Due to the constraints of gas stations, LPG forklifts will take the lead in natural gas NG forklifts and maintain rapid development, but their development will be restricted by regional and price. The current situation is that the demand for the LPG forklift international market is much larger than the domestic market. With the increasing demand for natural gas market at home and abroad, the progress of China's resource product price reform process, and the gradual increase in the price of natural gas, it is expected that the cost advantage and economic driving force of natural gas for vehicles will gradually weaken in the medium and long term, thus restricting the gas forklift. Further expand the application.
(4) The level of industrialization of bio-liquid fuels is expected to further increase, and biofuels will become a market hotspot in the near-term. In the near future, we can produce tens of millions of tons of fuel ethanol and biodiesel by collecting waste molasses, straw and waste oil. In the near-term, we can promote the cultivation of sweet sorghum, potato and oil forests by promoting good varieties and developing marginal land. Millions of tons of fuel ethanol and millions of tons of biodiesel; in the medium and long term, with the maturity of the second generation of biofuel technology, it is expected to use tens of thousands of tons of bio-liquid fuel annually, such as crop straw and forestry biomass resources. .
(5) Coal-based synthetic fuels, mainly alcohol ether fuels, will also be an important alternative fuel. For a long period of time, coal will be the basic energy source for China's economic development; the development and application of coal-based alternative fuels will be an important technical option for the development of alternative fuels for a long period of time. Therefore, the market-oriented application of pure ethanol forklifts, pure dimethyl ether forklifts, and methanol forklifts is just around the corner.
(6) The process of industrialization of new energy is accelerating, and the forklift industry is driven by the demonstration and infrastructure of the forklift industry. The development of lithium-ion, hybrid electric power and hydrogen-fueled internal combustion forklifts is expected to further accelerate the promotion and application.
Second, the technical classification of alternative fuel forklifts
Alternative fuel types that can be applied to internal combustion forklifts are:
Natural gas (NG) forklifts, subdivided into CNG forklifts and LNG forklifts; liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) forklifts; biodiesel forklifts; dimethyl ether forklifts; methanol forklifts; ethanol forklifts; hydrogen forklifts. According to the type of fuel used by the forklift each time, the internal combustion forklift is divided into:
A single-fuel forklift - the forklift can only use one type of fuel, and there is no alternative fuel to choose from. For example, a single LPG forklift, a single CNG forklift, etc., as defined herein, a diesel forklift is also a type of single fuel forklift.
B Dual-purpose fuel forklift - The forklift can use two kinds of fuels, and only one of the fuels can be used at the same time, but it can be switched freely. The more common dual-purpose fuel forklifts with LPG and gasoline.
C Dual Fuel Forklift - The forklift can use two fuels but mix at the same time. For example: diesel doped natural gas, diesel doped liquefied gas, gasoline doped ethanol. It can also be called a blending forklift.
Considering the stability of the product, the technical feasibility and the emission situation, the actual application and our extensive experiments prove that the dual fuel technology (that is, the blending technology) is not easy to become the mainstream technology, and the emission control is relatively unsuitable in the alternative energy forklift.
